Learn the Application of Garageband App through Garageband Tutorial

Musical Tracks

This app also offers four different tracks along with eight different options. You may use the Software Instrument to play sounds. The Audio option has two different sections – Microphone and Guitar/Bass. You may use the Microphone to record songs or music with line-input. If you need amplification, you may choose the Guitar/Bass option from Audio. The ‘Drummer’ option will play drumbeats in accordance to the rhythms of the current track.

Transport Controls

This feature will let you navigate your music during recording or editing of the current track. The Transport Controls is located at the top of the workspace. Every musician or singer requires Play, Stop, Rewind, Fast Forward and Record buttons. You will find these essential buttons in this section.

LCD Panel

The LCD panel is located next to the Transport Panels in Garageband Workspace. It will keep you informed regarding the status of your current project. This section also offers different options to you.

Time/Project

The first part of LCD panel has a space for time/project. It will let you view the length of any song in forms of hours, minutes and seconds.

Measures

You may be playing a specific track on Garageband. The Measure portion will show you the bars, beats and ticks of the present track.

Beats per Minute

This portion shows the speed of your current track. The faster tracks have higher BPMs. The average tempo for any track is 120 on Garageband. You may raise the tempo of the songs as per your liking.

Key

It is easy to change the musical keys on Garageband. This app starts at C-Major. If you are not satisfied with the musical notes in this key, you may easily change the settings with key button.

Time Signature

The default Time Signature of Garageband is 4/4. The downbeat will always be the first beat out of each set of four beats. If you are dissatisfied with this setting, you may use this button to change the ‘Time Signature’.

Cycle Tool

If you need to repeat a portion of the current track, you need to press this tool on LCD panel.

Tuner

The name suggests the operation of this button. You may use this button to tune the instruments as per your liking.

Count-In

The Garageband also let you get in the mood. The count-in button gives you four seconds before you start the recording. It will play four clicks to let you know the perfect moment.

The Garageband Online app also has Track Headers, Master Volume Slider, Timeline and Instrument Library in its workspace. Each tool has unique role to play during song or music recording.
